Another Defeat for Waterpark

 

Skibbereen 16- Waterpark 10

Waterpark fell to their fourth league defeat of the season in Cork last Sunday on the back of this 6 point loss to Skibbereen.

The West Cork side dominated the first half and were rewarded with an eight point lead at halftime with a try from Ger O’Mahony and a penalty from Ger Hurley.

David Shannon added a drop goal for the home side early in the second half to increase the advantage to eleven points.  Waterpark scored a try from second row Darragh Joyce which replacement out half Geoff Deegan converted to reduce the deficit to 4 points. However straight from the restart Skibbereen scored again this time through a try from Steve Hansel. Deegan kicked a penalty to secure the bonus point for the Ballinakill side.

The next three fixtures for Waterpark before the Christmas break must yield at least two wins as they face Galbally at home, Muskerry away and Clonakilty at home.

Waterpark 55 - Cashel 0

Waterpark ran out convincing winners in the one sided game in Ballinakill last Sunday morning. This win ensures a home quarterfinal tie with Clonmel providing the opposition next weekend. The home side scored four tries in the first period from Rory Corbett, Rory O’ Dwyer, James Dodds and Nick Kervick . Dodds also added one conversion to give Waterpark a 22 point led. The procession continued in the second half with Cashel unable to cope with the power and pace of the home team who added 5 tries. Issac Mansfield Daly, Jordan O’Reagan, David Pierce, Jamie Flynn and Rory Corbett. Jeff Frampton kicked two conversions while Mansfield Daly added another.
