Update for last few weeks

Back Again --- An update on results for the last couple of weeks.

1st. XV : After losing their opening League game 15-21 in Galbally they bounced back with a good win 25-7 against Clanwilliam in Ballinakill today.

In the Galbally game, Tom Kiersey kicked 5 penalties and v Clan we had tries by Adam Walsh, Eoin Keane and Eoin Duff with John Flynn adding the extra points.

This now leaves us in 6th place in the League with 5 points (Losing Bonus Point v Galbally - beaten by 7 points or less)

You may recall in my last missive I said that Tom Kiersey was joining St.Marys (Dublin) -- I am now informed that he is in fact going to Lansdowne to hitch up with other Park players, Willie Walsh and Edwin Torrie. Due to the fact that his registration had not gone through he was available to us v Galbally.

New signings who were on show today : Joe McSweeney -- Returning from Cork Con.
Mark Pender -- ex Bective RFC
Eoin Duff -- ex Boyne RFC

This is a young inexperienced side who together with their Coach Eoin O'Connor are comitted to playing an open style of rugby, so come to Ballinakill and show your support.

2nd.XV: Got their League campaign off to a good start with a victory by 9-3 over arch rivals Waterford City. Three penalties by Richard Halley did the trick.

Under Age:

Under 15's -- We have so many numbers at this age group that we now field 2 teams in Competitions.

15 A's scraped through against Carrick today in Tybroughny Park in their first League game by 93-0.

15 B's ( which is really Under 14's - last seasons 13's ) were beaten 31-0 by Fethard in the first game but improved greatly to come away from Clonmel today with full points on a scoreline of 19-12. Well done to the guys.

Under 13's : Again due to numbers we put out 2 teams also -- Drawn against each other in their first League game -- B's beat A's by 12-5.
